SCHOLARSHIP AND SELECTIVE SCHOOLS ENTRY EXAMINATIONS

Master Tutoring Academy has designed specifically tailored programs and workshops, covering all aspects of scholarships examinations:

  • Essay writing
  • Reading Comprehension and Verbal Reasoning
  • Grammar and Spelling
  • Mathematics and Numerical Reasoning

Year 3/4 – Preparation classes  (EduTest & ACER)

(Entry to Essendon Grammar, Ivanhoe Grammar and all other top schools in Victoria)

The program comprises of preparing the students for the examinations to selective schools and scholarships, based on EduTest and ACER, the two organizations which conduct the tests at Australian schools.

  • Every student goes through the assessment to evaluate their academic level and the areas which require most attention

  • Essay writing, creative writing, comprehension, and vocabulary are the key focus within the English subject
  • Manuals, test papers, mock exams, homework and other activities are part of preparation and coaching
  • Easy going, friendly and experienced teachers conduct these classes with attention to individual student’s needs
  • Parent- teacher meetings are conducted at the end of every term. Term reports showing overall students’ progress and level, specific results and other teacher comments

Year 5/6 – Scholarship Class (EduTest & ACER)

(Entry to Essendon Grammar, Ivanhoe Grammar, John Monash and all other top schools in Victoria)

  • More complex mathematical theories , methodologies and concepts appropriated to study for Year 6 scholarship exams
  • Curriculum of final terms (term 3 & 4) are designed to conduct test exams papers and workshops to make sure students are exposed to real scholarship environments and settings
  • Easy going, friendly and experienced teachers conduct these classes with attention to individual student’s needs
  • Parent- teacher meetings are conducted at the end of every term. Term reports showing overall students’ progress and level, specific results and other teacher comments.

Year 7/8 & Year 9/10 (EduTest & ACER)

Entry to Melbourne High, John Monash, McRobertson or other top schools

  • General Maths / Numerical Reasoning, General English / Reading Comprehension , General Science (Science writing and Science reasoning) with special emphasis on EduTest scholarship exam preparation at year 8, 9 and 10
  • General Maths, English & Science according to School syllabus
  • Easy going, friendly and experienced teachers conduct these classes with attention to individual student’s needs
  • Parent- teacher meetings are conducted at the end of every term. Term reports showing overall students’ progress and level, specific results and other teacher comments

VCE

VCE Year 11 – VCE Preparation class

Victorian Year 11 syllabus is covered with special emphasis to prepare students for Year 12 VCE exams

VCE Year 12 – VCE Classes

Victorian Year 12 syllabus is followed. All chapters are taught to assure students obtain extra knowledge to obtain maximum marks at SACS (School Assessed Course Work).

A minimum of 5 years of passed exam papers are discussed (including specific methodologies and strategies on how to understand questions and write effective answers to obtain the highest marks).
